"Easily the best steak in Madrid. Serious, fire-driven cooking with the beef as the undeniable star. Dry-aged, beautifully marbled, deeply flavorful, juicy, and perfectly tender. They cook everything over fire, and it shows. A great touch: they’ll take your plate before you’re done and bring back the extra trimmings (the fat and the pieces next to the bone) so you don’t miss any of the best bits. Simple, confident service, an extensive wine list, and a cozy setting that feels intimate without being pretentious. Perfect for a date night or anyone who truly appreciates great steak. If you love proper beef, this is your place."

"This place deserves the recognition it has garnered. One of the top steak restaurants on the planet. From the interior, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and ultimately the food… everything is amazing. Oh and a great wine list too! It’s tricky to get a reservation for peak times, but the reason for that is so all guests can enjoy their meal without rushing towards a deadline. You’ll be guided to your table, the menu explained and once ready taken to the steak ‘showroom’. This is where all the cuts are presented and explained to you. I’ll let the photos do the talking. Everything I ate was phenomenal, and up there with some of the best steaks I’ve had on the planet. Make it a point to go here if you are anywhere near Madrid. Restaurante Lana - Thank you for having me and I will see you again soon."

"Sweetbread with caviar is a must, I would return just for this dish alone. Fantastic Galician beef, you get to go to the meat table to make a selection (very fun), will definitely return."

"At time writing number 8 on the list of the 101 best restaurants, hence the reason of my visit. Arguably- and I’m not an over-enthousiatic American, just a modest Belgian writing this - the best steak I’ve eaten, also the most expensive one (but worth every penny) We were hosted by the 2 brothers with extensive knowledge of the meats & wines, after a couple of questions they gave us the Argentinean alternative of a bordeaux , After ordering the starters & wine you’re guided to the meat selection to choose the victim for the night, all meats were laid out and some explanation is given regarding taste & tenderness , sadly any indication of weight/price was missing, this could be improved in my opinion. Starters: Steak tartare: extremely delicious , in my opinion a must order. Cheese fritters : tasty, but nothing special, don’t know why it’s on the menu in this restaurant, Steak : Extremely delicious, cooked perfectly (They were looking a bit surprised when i was devouring the bone , but l’m used to that . We opted for no sides as the steak was the piece the resistance and it needed no extra’s Overall very pleasant experience, and must visit for steaklovers (without a budget)"

"One of the best steakhouses in Madrid. Everything was amazing, one of the best experiences dining in Madrid for sure. They have an amazing selection of wines, some of the best beef cuts, and the service was amazing. Everything that we ordered was perfect. The wine recommendations were spot on. We will go back for sure to this amazing place."

"My boyfriend who is a huge foodie booked our reservation at Lana months in advance. We are from Canada, and were travelling as a group of 5 people to Madrid. Expectations were high walking in, and walking out we didn't think it was possible for our experience to be better than imagined. The food was exceptional, but so was the service and atmosphere. The staff at Lana went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met, and that we felt more than welcome. Looking back, the five of us feel that our best night in Madrid was dining at Lana. Hopefully we can come back soon!"
